Hi guys, I'm back! Sorry for the long radio silence, I was in the middle of completing my A levels. My exams finished yesterday so I thought it was about time I posted something on here. Salted caramel is one of my all time favourite flavours and it can add a little pizzaz to any dessert! The good news is it is very quick to whip up.

Recipe
Ingredients
220 g caster sugar
6 tbsp water
245 ml cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 heaped tsp sea salt
Method
Put the caster sugar and water in a pan (use a pan that is quite deep as a safety precaution) and place on a high heat. Bring this to the boil and wait until it has turned a deep auburn colour. At this point remove from the heat. Meanwhile in another pan place the cream and vanilla on a low heat.

Stir the heated cream into the sugar. Be careful because the sugar will bubble up as the cream is poured in. Finally, stir in the sea salt making sure it is evenly combined into the caramel.
